I will be graduating from Hofstra University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and a French minor. Over my four years, I have served as the News Editor for the Hofstra Chronicle and the Director of News Technical for Radio Hofstra University, WRHU 88.7 FM. I am currently the president of Hofstra's Society of Professional Journalists chapter. I have also interned with the CT Examiner, Fox News Media, Fox Nation and Nassau County Government. Aside from my professional experience, I am a third-year resident assistant, and I have worked on-and-off as a waitress.

I started weightlifting in 2017 when I quit my high school volleyball team. I was just a casual lifter at the time, learning the ropes. When I got into my first year of college, I took it more seriously until I had hip surgery that required a year-long recovery. It was not until summer 2020 that I started taking weightlifting more seriously. I began studying for my personal training certification, so I could learn more about how to properly and safely train my body. I have become so passionate about weightlifting over the years as it has helped my mental health. The gym is a way to constantly challenge yourself and grow as an individual. That is the reason why I wanted to create a project showcasing how weightlifting has changed people's lives.
